Tire shops sell and install new tires, patch punctures, balance wheels and, at most locations, align the suspension. Prices are quoted per tire plus mounting, balancing, valve stems and a state disposal fee for the old set; many shops price-match and include free rotation and flat repair for the life of the tire. Used tire shops sell inspected take-offs for a fraction of the price of new ones, useful for an older car or a single replacement, but check the tread depth (4/32 inch or more) and the DOT date code, since rubber ages even on the shelf. Mobile tire services come to your driveway or the roadside, commercial shops handle semi, trailer, farm and off-road tires, and wheel shops repair and refinish bent or curb-scraped rims.

I have spent thousands at this branch, and will never be spending another dime. I brought in a two-month old steer tire for a pinhole that let out a few psi each night. I didn't want to pay Pomp's high price for the replacement options they had, and when I was about to turn around and leave they said "we'll put a new steer on today and send your old one in for repair, then you can come back and we'll install the old one as a trailer tire." Knowing that, I then bit the bullet and bought a new steer from Pomp's. Lo and behold, once I called in to arrange having that repaired tire installed, they told me that they threw my tire away; a tire that I had paid $800 for just two months prior, and a tire that they did not own. They never bothered to even call me and ask for permission, or to offer to give it back to me (considering it was my property, and not theirs). When I told them they owed me a tire, they said the "best we can do" is offer a used, recapped, 3-year old tire, which I declined because it would be utterly dangerous to have on the road. It was a complete bait & switch, and they had no interest in owning up to their mistake. None of my trucks will ever run a Pomp's tire ev

My driver arrived 10 min before closing time. They refused to take him said he need to call after hours service call. When I dialed them they said sure we will fix him but did not mention the after hours service charge to me. Now a week later they sent an invoice with $360 emergency fee, $20 fuel surcharge, $20 distpach fee. While we checked in durring their buisness hours. We use Pomps tire all the time. But looks like we should avoid this location.

I recently switched from a larger local βtire shopβ to John down off Goshen rd in Fort Wayne. Never heard about or met any of these guys until this year. Walked in, explained that I have personal and commercial tire needs. Although it seemed that they may cater a little more towards larger Agricultural and semi tires. John was more than willing to handle us. Now we see them almost daily. Our needs are met. The guys are great to work with. They are willing to go the extra mile to make things right. More than happy with the pricing as well. We all know tires arenβt cheap. John even goes as far as to do βdrop off and pick upsβ for us when needed! Hats off!

Had tires put on our 4500 GMC make a long story short had a brand new tire that had problems. These guys work very hard to make it right. Ended up they had to get a new tire. These guys went the extra mile to make it right. I highly recommend Pomp's for your tire needs. I'd give them 10 stars if I could.
